Honored to have been the Resident Poet for Amnesty International USA’s Banned Books Café, crafting poems for their constituents and staff. A mother warms her son with her embrace, just as language warms all who need it—offering comfort, courage, and the fire to fight for justice. As poets, we deal in emotions as currency, turning the weight of the world into words. While we move through our lives, we cannot forget those without the same luxuries—those whose rights, stories, and voices are erased. This is why the fight for human rights is not just necessary—it’s urgent. #PoetryForHumanRights #AmnestyInternational
