Worm composting 🪱 (or ‘vermicomposting’ to give it a fancy name) is by far my favourite form of composting - it’s very quick and once a wormery/worm farm is established, it can get rid of quite a lot of material. I have three wormeries now to deal with our kitchen waste and bunny litter and I seeming always have a fresh tray of lovely nutrient filled compost and liquid fertiliser to use on my plot. There are certain things you can’t put in a wormery, such lots of oil, meat or bones, (they generally come with a list) but this is a great way to get rid of your food waste 🪱 It takes between 3-6 months for a tray to completely compost. I’d definitely recommend a worm farm if you have a space for once as they’re a brilliant addition to your plot and in my opinion one of the best things you can do for your garden and waste footprint 🌱 #composting #wormfarm #wormcomposting #foodwaste #gardening #allotmentlife
