INTERVIEW PREPARATION TIPS FOR PERFORMANCEMARKETERS Over my 10 year recruitment career I have prepared 100's if not 1000's of candidates for interviews and here are some of my top tips for Performance Marketers who are preparing for an interview: 1 - Research the company and hiring manager in detail! You would not believe how many people overlook this and are rejected very quickly due to poor preparation and a clear lack of interest 2 - Take a look at what the company is currently doing from a Performance Marketing perspective. What Paid Social campaigns are they running OR what keywords are they bidding/ranking for on Google? From here, make a note of what they are doing well and also what they could improve. This shows great initiative 3 - Be prepared for some on the spot calculations! Some companies ask candidates will provide some example data and ask how to work out certain KPI's such as CPC or CPA. Have a calculator handy will help! 4 - Have a lot of good quality questions prepared as this will really show the company that you have a genuine interest in their business and the role 5- Finally, a very popular question from companies is "Why do you want to work for us?". Companies want people who WANT to work for their business and not just because a recruiter pitched them an opportunity!
