It’s when you have real time virtual environments and computer graphics aided by game engines that’s creating an environment that can be filmed in real time for a real camera. 2. Camera Tracking is an essential part of virtual production, trackers from companies like Stype allow the game engines to know where the camera is pointed in the real and virtual world. 3. Parallax “The perceptual difference in an object’s position when seen from different vantage points” is calculated with tracking data to create an illusion of depth and keep up with camera movement and focus. 4. “Fix it in pre” instead of in post. For OSVP, all of the world building for the A-camera shots is completed ahead of time. 5. OSVP is still evolving!
