Azumini Blue River is located in Azumini, Abia State. Recognised as the most clean and clear expanse of water in Nigeria. The water is so crystal clear that I could see straight to the smooth pebbles at the bottom. It looked like a mirror reflecting the sky, blending blues so rich it seemed like a painting. As a nature lover, my heart skipped a beat when I first saw it, captivated by its beauty. I stood at the riverbank, mesmerized by the gentle flow and the calming sound of water lapping against the shore. It felt like the river was calling out to me, an unspoken invitation in the way it sparkled under the morning sun. I couldn't resist. I kicked off my shoes, left my bike and helmet on the shore, and took a deep breath before diving into the cool, inviting water. The river embraced me with its gentle current, the water crystal clear around me as I floated, gazing up at the sky through the canopy of trees overhead. In that moment, time seemed to slow down, and all the worries of the world faded away, leaving just me and the river’s embrace. I emerged from the water, feeling refreshed, with a smile on my face that would last the rest of the journey. And as I dried off on the riverbank, I knew that this hidden oasis was a place I’d recommend everyone to visit, which is why I made this short video with the sound of nature for you all.
