The fitness industry; something I hate. I have worked in the fitness industry for nearly 20 years. I love it, obviously, otherwise I wouldn’t still be here. But, I don’t think personal trainers have a great reputation to the outside world. And I think this conversation with my dentist is probably a little teeny tiny snippet of one reason why that is. We keep talking about how important it is that everyone exercises, but honestly I don’t think fitness professionals are always the most welcoming bunch of people. I don’t blame others for not wanting to go to the gym, and I definitely don’t blame them for thinking personal trainers are just a big group of sadistic militants whose job is to shout at them for an hour. Because to a lot of people, that is the reputation that we have, unfortunately. P.S.
