The world’s largest gathering of humanity is set to begin in India with more than 400 million people expected to attend a six-week Maha Kumbh Mela or Great Pitcher Festival. The Hindu sacred event in the northern city of Prayagraj will showcase religion, spirituality, tourism and crowd management with visitors to take a holy dip at the junction of three sacred rivers. Drone footage shows an enormous 4,000 hectares of open land along the banks of the rivers that has been converted into a temporary city to house the visitors in 150,000 tents. Indian Railways has introduced 98 special trains that will make 3,300 trips during the festival to transport visitors besides regular trains. #10newsfirst #india #festival #hindu
