The six-week Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, concluded on February 26 with millions taking a final ritual dip in the sacred river in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Authorities reported that over 620 million people attended the event, held every 12 years, where devotees believe the river’s waters cleanse sins and grant salvation. However, the festival was marred by tragedy and health concerns. A report from the Central Pollution Control Board revealed that parts of the river were contaminated with high levels of faecal coliform bacteria, failing to meet bathing water quality standards. Two deadly incidents also cast a shadow over the event. On February 15, a stampede at a New Delhi railway station killed at least 20 people as thousands rushed to board overcrowded trains to the festival. Earlier, on January 29, chaos erupted during a mass bathing ritual, resulting in 30 deaths and 60 injuries. Despite the challenges, the Maha Kumbh Mela drew an enormous crowd, reaffirming its significance as a major Hindu pilgrimage. 🎥 ViralPress #india #news #bathing #river #utterpradesh #newdelhi #mahakumbhmela

🌟 Event 2030: The Future of Architecture starts on July 8! To receive the free event link with a certificate, go to our profile! 🌟 Did you know that the Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport, besides being the tallest indoor waterfall in the world, is also a marvel of sustainability? 💧🌳 Here are some interesting facts about this incredible project: 1. **Water Reuse**: The water used in the Rain Vortex is recycled and mainly comes from collected rainwater, which is stored and used to irrigate the complex's plants and for the waterfall's operation itself. This helps maintain a sustainable and efficient operation. 2. **Cutting-Edge Technology**: The Rain Vortex utilizes a series of hidden pipes and structures to create the continuous water flow. The water falls from the central oculus, passing through a series of filters and underground reservoirs before being pumped back to the top. 3. **Immersive Experience**: The waterfall also serves as a sensory experience for visitors. Besides the relaxing sound of the water, the Rain Vortex offers light and sound shows at night, making the environment even more magical and attractive for photos and videos. 4. **SkyTrain**: For a unique view of the Rain Vortex, visitors can take the SkyTrain between Terminals 2 and 3, which passes right behind the waterfall. This is a free experience open to all visitors of Jewel. 5. **Sustainable Design**: The donut-shaped design of Jewel was intended to reduce heat gain and create a naturally cooler environment. Additionally, leaves and branches from the complex's trees are recycled and turned into mulch for the plants. 6. **Old Trees, New Purposes**: Some of the oldest trees in Jewel are over a century old! They were brought from Spain and carefully adapted to thrive in the indoor environment of the complex. #SustainableArchitecture #Innovation #Sustainability #Design #Engineering #RainVortex #Nature #2030Architecture
